It was a nice day here today – the first (and looking at the forecast, perhaps the last) in a little while. Chris Mills has been out birding again and had a good haul at Loch Inaal: 30 Long-Tailed Ducks, 25 Slavonian Grebe, and two Purple Sandpipers.
Gary Turnbull was at Finlaggan, which really seems to be the
place for winter travellers, he saw three Waxwing, and a Snow Bunting in amongst
the Skylark and Meadow Pipit.
James How was goose counting today and gathered up a list of
raptors as he was going round: three White-Tailed Eagles, one Golden Eagle, a
Merlin, and a Sparrowhawk.
Thanks all for your contributions.
