Spectacularly heavy showers today, but in between it was a lovely day. Dave P. was down in Portnahaven with the Library van and watched 2 white-tailed eagles checking out the busy seals who have added a few pups to MacKenzie Island.

Pale bellied brent x 151, barnacle geese x 443, golden plover x 510, knot x 5, dunlin x 238, curlew x 105, redshank x 31, bar-tailed godwits x 55, lapwing x 55, oystercatcher x 10 and lastly greylag x 74
