Wednesday 12th August

Today, Gary had a spot of birding from close to Bun an Uillt on the East side of Loch Gruinart. His tally came to 2 Ospreys, 1 ringtail Hen Harrier, 7 Buzzards, 3 Peregrines, 4 GBB Gulls, 22 H Gulls, 45 C Gulls, 120 BH Gulls, 1 Red Knot, 75 Redshank, 179 Oystercatcher, 253 Curlew, over 400 Dunlin, 180 Ringed Plover and 7 Blackwits. Gary also had a mixed flock of around 150 Linnets and Twite. It is the local Agricultural Show tomorrow, so here is hoping that the weather holds and that the midges stay away...fingers crossed!!
