Wednesday 5th August

Rather a miserable sort of a day, I bet most outdoor activities were few and far between, the indoor activities would certainly be the winners. There certainly have been several dirty showers dropping rather a lot of water in a short space of time. On the lawn, just after breakfast there were many Thrushes and Blackbirds poking and prodding looking for some food, also present then, was the solitary Wheatear. Later on the Hooded Crows came by and then the Jackdaws dropped by and finally the Starlings were here, just the usual culprits really! Almost forgot, there wee 2 Linnets making the most of the seed heads less than 10 feet away though the window beside the big table...
