A few Swifts seen yesterday, maybe pushed in by the South Easterly winds, 2 were seen over Gruinart and Gary had 2 over Coullabus. Gary had been out looking for the Black Tailed Godwits on the Gruinart Flats he found 40 and 5 Ruff as well as 37 Pied Wagtails. He had also seen several Hen Harriers all ringtails from road to Port Askaig and Bowmore. At Gruinart today I had 6 Redpols and 2 Whinchats in my garden and lots of Dragonflies on the reserve Highland Darters, Common Hawkers and Black Darters I think. A report just in from the visitor centre- some visitors have seen a Rose Coloured Starling at Machair bay presumably with the large starling flock there.
