Another pleasantly sunny and dry day.
The day started early with a note from Louise Muir on Jura that she was hearing 3 different Tawny Owls and two Barn Owls.
Steve Ward noted the 2W Glaucous Gull which reappeared at Uiskentuie just before 9am.
Thereafter a likely candidate for a female American Wigeon was found by Dave Fairhurst on small ponds near Kintra and the road leading out to The Oa. Ed Burrell took a look later and confirmed it looks a good fit, but the bird is distant and better views are desirable.
Neil McMahon who departed with his Naturetrek group yesterday kindly sent in a few photos of his stay to brighten up the blog - many thanks and "haste ye back".
