Tuesday 10th June
David Wood along with Mark and Emily and with some "vols" carried out a check on the sea birds breeding down on the Oa reserve this afternoon, but this time from the sea, rather than from the land. The tally was as follows, 105 pr of Fulmar, 75 pr of Kittiwake, 6 pr of GBB Gull, 21 pr of Herring Gull, 87 individual Razorbill, and 121 indiv. Guillemots. Dave told me that these were similar in number to last year, but a lot less than 10 years ago, in line perhaps with sea bird decline elsewhere.
