This image of a Meadow Pipit was taken earlier on this week by Stephanie and Olaf Fritsche from Heidleberg in Germany. They have been over here on Islay for the last fortnight and today being their last full day before heading home, they had walked round Ardnave Point and had seen Oystercatcher, Lapwing, Wheatear, Chough, Sand Martin and spotted footprints of an Otter, they also heard a Corncrake calling up there too. By the sounds of their e mail they have had a great time while staying here,thanks for your image! David Formby today had heard a Quail over in one of the silage fields over below Neriby.
