Sunday 22nd June
Before they headed off home yesterday, on Friday evening David and Jenny had heard 2 Grasshopper Warblers "reeling" away over beside the phone box at the head of Loch Gorm, they also saw a Dunlin display in the same area as well. While waiting on the ferry at Port Askaig, they heard a Chiffchaff singing. George yesterday had seen a male Hen Harrier at Finlaggan, back on Loch Skerrols, he counted 24 Mute Swans, probably non breeders. Back on the shore below his house, George had seen an Arctic Tern with young, with another sitting on its' nest.
