George E. Jackson had seen a few birds when up at Saligo Bay yesterday morning, a single Black-tailed godwit flew over heading WSW, calling occasionally. Out to sea (pretty calm) Gannets and various black jobs, probably shearwaters, auks, ++, but couldn't make out details in the lightish murk - it cleared a bit later.
Meanwhile Karen Graham is still up North spotting this imm. Herring gull... quite oblivious of Karen going so close to it either to get this image, taken in Dornoch
