James was  in touch earlier on this evening... He was telling me that there were only 24 calling Corncrakes heard last night. Not sure whether this was a total for the whole of Islay , or which part was surveyed, I am not too sure, but hopefully I will speak to James again soon. He was also telling me that he had a Tawny Owl and also a Barn Owl on his patch.
