Some sightings through from Emily from Gruinart. On the woodland trail she had heard a Willow Warbler and saw several "scruffy" juv. Robins. This morning on the overhead telephone wires, there was a juv Chough perched on one of the actual poles with a juv Buzzard on the next pole! Along at Gruinart Farm itself, Emily saw 2 Hares boxing! Down around the old hide a member of staff with RSPB from Lewis had counted around 600 Greylags and saw a ringtail Hen harrier spooking up an "uncountable" number of Snipe and also a Greenshank. Up at Killanallan 3 Bonxies were seen flying over from Ardnave while down at Sanaigmore several Manx Shearwaters were seen offshore. Today was Ben and his folks last day, and had a great sighting of a ringtail Hen harrier close to where they wre staying on the "high road" close to Duich Lots. This afternoon, Bob and his grandson Jack saw a Peregrine being mobbed by some corvoids down close to Foreland. They also had a large number of Jackdaws on the silage aftermath at Rockside.
