The farmers have again been making the most of this spell of good weather with the combines out in force cutting their barley. Yesterday morning, George had a Barn Owl at 7am fly past his home down at Bruichladdich. On his feeders, George had 10 House Sparrows, up on his ponds, he had a Heron. Last night, in the early evening, 2 Buzzards flew low over the house here, this morning, there was a Buzzard preening itself out in the trees, was it one of the birds from last night? There was a Kestrel just after Rockside, early afternoon. Mid afternoon, on the overhead cables back at home, there was a count of 43 Swallows, with them still around this evening, bet they have gone overnight....
