A better day over here, not a blazing hot day, dry at least and the farmers might well have started their combines in the hope of cutting some barley and possibly baling some straw before the next dollop of rain comes along....Bob yesterday morning braved the winds down at Frenchman's Rocks and saw a Storm Petrel, 1 Red throated Diver, 2 Great Skua and a Grey Phalarope. In the afternoon at the Gaelic College in Bowmore, on Loch Indaal there were 30 Bar tailed Godwit, along at Gartmain there was a Whooper Swan along with 6 Mute Swans and finally over at Blackrock Bob had 34 Eider and a Great Northern Diver.
