The rain came as forecast, not a lot yet... but there again the high winds are not here yet either....Yesterday, Tom had 15 Common Scoter out on Loch Indaal. Today, Tom had 1 Grey Plover, 10 Pale bellied Brent geese, 200 Bar tailed Godwit, 3 Dunlin, 15 Redshank, 30 Curlew, 130 Oystercatcher and 25 Ringed Plover at the top of Loch Indaal. Yesterday, visitors from Canada had a Stonechat up at Ardnave, down below the Gaelic College they had 10 Pale Bellied Brent (?possibly the same geese that Tom had today), and 40 Wigeon. Further on at Bowmore itself they had some Red breasted Mergansers, Bar tailed Godwit and also a few Turnstone. Remember tomorrow night we have our "informal" meeting up at the old hide at Gruinart at 6pm, visitors welcome.
