Yesterday Tom and Jo had been up the North East part of Islay with the undoubted highlight of the day being 3 Golden Eagles. Later on they had a Sandwich Tern, a Red throated Diver, a male Hen Harrier, 1 Chough and 1 Guillemot. Up at Sgarbh Breac they counted a "congress" of 22 Ravens all in the air together.... Back down at Bunnahabhain they saw 2 Yellowhammer, another Guillemot, 6 Turnstone and 2 Chough. Mary had a White tailed Sea Eagle out on Loch Gruinart yesterday, it was on the ground for the best part of an hour!!!Dave has returned back to the Oa, plus new arrival baby Evie... Today Dave noted a few common migrants about, several Robins, Chaffinches and a Whinchat too. He also had a selection of raptors, Hen Harrier, Merlin, Kestrel, Buzzard and 2 Golden Eagles as well. Bob today had 38 Fieldfare fly over at Erasiad on his way home from Gruinart
