Friday 7th September

The tick mist/ haar is still around all day today, so much so that none of the scheduled flights came from Glasgow today, but the wee plane made it down from Oban...say no more....
Jim Dickson this morning counted 912 Pale bellied Brent Geese on Loch Gruinart and Malcolm this afternoon had a count of around 700 of them flying close to the water heading down Loch Indaal heading on towards Ireland. Bob had s10 Mistle Thushes at Foreland today, a male Sparrowhawk further on, and at Machir Bay there was a mixed wader flock consisting of Dunlin, Sanderling, Turnstone and Ringed Plover. Back at home, Bob had a female Hen Harrier and also a Sparrowhawk. Back on Wednesday, Jane Griffiths saw a White tailed Sea Eagle over at Neriby, up behind Bridgend.
