Wednesday 25th July

A great day out here today, summer has come, but the midges were out as we came out from Port Askaig earlier on. The folk on Colonsay would have benefited from the weather too, as there were a good number of cyclists and also foot passengers coming off the ferry from Colonsay this evening. On our way home, we saw a White tailed Sea Eagle up behind Port Askaig. A Red Kite was seen by visitors up at Bunnahabhain yesterday. Bob had said there were some Redpolls up on Bolsay Moor this afternoon.  The Starling flock were all perched up on the electric cables down at the Coastguard cottages this evening.
