A not bad day out here today, weather wise that is, even managed to cut some of the grass...Dave down on the Oa had fledged Whichats in his garden this morning, and also some fledged Common Sandpipers on the track  up to his house. Out on the reserve, Dave had a flock of 30 Redpolls. There certainly appear to be more Redpolls around this year. Visiting birders had seen 3 different male Hen Harriers while they were out today, one here at Kilchoman, another at Gruinart on the reserve and the final one was over at Port Ellen.
