Thursday 20th December

Some birds through from Gary of Wild Islay Birding tonight for you....
He has been up at Bunnahabhain quite a lot recently. His choice of words not mine!!! On his way there, he has regularly been seeing a Merlin hunting over the fields at Persabus as well as a Kestrel up at Ardnahoe.
Today, Gary spotted a juv. White tailed Eagle sitting on the rocks on the edge of the merse at Bridgend. Along at Gartmain, he saw 7 Knot and at Bruichladdich, 9 Purple Sandpiper were present.
