Sunday 30th December

Today, while sitting out in the hut watching all the wee birds on the feeders, all of a sudden, they all took off looking for cover, but why? A quick scan round about, and who had they seen before us, quite simple, a ringtail Hen Harrier was out quartering its patch. It took a good couple of minutes floating around before heading off, having not taking anything I hasten to add...
On the cctv system, when we checked it out, there was a  Barn Owl perched on one of the shed doors.
At one time when watching the footage, I thought that it had stopped recording as the Owl remained completely motionless, but no the time clock proved me wrong...
