Louise Muir phoned over from Jura this morning to say that she had counted 120 Fieldfare flying to the Rowans outside her home at Gatehouse, no doubt looking to strip the crop of berries... Nicholas Watts had seen 4 Swallows at Bowmore yesterday. The Hampshire birders today had taken a walk out past Daill behind Bridgend in towards Scouller seeing Raven, 3 Buzzards and Skylarks. Back down at Carnain they saw Curlew and also a flock of Teal. Gary had been up at Sanaigmore, but no joy with the Red backed Shrike today. He had a Pale bellied Brent and a small flock of 10 Twite with 4 Snow Buntings flying overhead. Here at home we had a visit from a brief flying visit from the Sparrowhawk.
