Friday 17th June

Today, Peter had noted a total of 45 moulting male Eiders in 2 groups between Uiskentuie and Bruichladdich. Earlier on he had been checking the colony of Black headed Gulls close to "smelly corner" and he was saying there were not so many with chicks as seen earlier on. Late afternoon today, Michal had seen 2 Peregrines out over the crag at Kilchoman. This evening, we spotted the hen Peregrine on the ground with a kill, plucking it away as if there was no tomorrow!! Today , the young Goldfinches have been busy on the feeders
