Friday 24th April

It has turned out a rather dreich sort of an evening outside, with damp smurry rain falling, not a lot, enough to lay the dust and get you wet if you are not wearing a jacket. Yesterda, Steve Elis had seen a distant Golden Eagle and also a ringtail Hen Harrier on the Oa. Kilnaughton Bay and Steve had Linnet, Black throated Divers and Sandwich Terns. Along at Ardmoor, Whimbrel, Whinchat, Red breasted Merganser and Ringed Plover were present. Today, down on the Oa Dave had 2 immature Golden Eagles, a Bonxie and also a Cuckoo. No sign round here today of the Canada Geese that were present yesterday down at the Coastguards.
