The sun has come out again and all the birds are singing. Yesterday a Golden Eagle over Gruinart and a Corncrake scuttling about. Today whilst out counting breeding waders I had a squeeling Water Rail, 2 Hen Harriers and 20 Black Tailed Godwits. The cold snap seems to have dumped a load of Snipe on the fields - they are everywhere and many are chipping and drumming.
