Monday 8th September

Yesterday evening, Malcolm saw a Whimbrel fly across the road at Braibruich which is down between Bruichladdich and Port Charlotte. This morning, visiting birder, Paul did a couple of hours sea watching at Frenchman's Rocks from 06.45 with his tally coming ou tat 166 Manx Shearwaters, 8 Kittiwake, 17 Auk sp, 2 Red throated Divers, 1 Sandwich Tern and a Peregrine. Later on, Paul counted 28 Blackwits outside of Bowmore, and then he saw a Whooper Swan at Laggan Bridge. By the way, last night the moon looked really close and so large, and it is due to be a full moon this evening, so if we see it, it will be better than last night, with no light pollution here folks....
