Thursday 10th April

"Solo" from Dumfries had seen a Red throated Diver fly from Islay across to Jura this morning. Carl today had seen his first Swallow for the year down at Easter Ellister with a Stonechat at Carn as he headed back to Port C harlotte. Finally at Port Charlotte itself, Carl had a Razorbill in LOch Indaal. It is not just the birds that migrate around as Michal is back for a few months to do some contract work for RSPB, Emily has also returned to lead the walks for a second season while Ed has migrated South as he has completed his winter work on the Whitefronted Geese, so as the saying goes you win some and you lose some...Walkislay starts this Sunday, so we will get some more returning "well kent" faces for the week... hope the weather is kind to the walkers!
