Wenesday 11th February

James had carried out the WeBs count on the floods at Gruinart earlier this week with the scores on the doors coming out at 465 Teal, 37 Teal, 1 Greenshank, 6 Mute Swan, 1 Red breasted Merganser, 90 Mallard, 3 Heron, 60 Greylag, 54 Pintail, 2 Redshank, 545 Lapwing, 12 Curlew, 2 Shelduck, 2 Whoopers, 2 Snipe, 550 Golden Plover and 9 Dunlin. The Hampshire birders yesterday had watched the pod of 6 Bottle nosed Dolphins for 30 minutes on Loch Indaal from Port Charlotte . While they were there they also spotted 2 RTD and 2 GND. David Formby is still seeing Siskins on his feeders at his house up behind Bridgend. Here at home today, a Reed Bunting, it was on the ground as well as on the dyke/ wall , so definitely a new garden tick rather than one flying past!!!
