Sunday 9th November

Nothing much to report here today with all the visiting birders having moved back to their respective homes...There were still a few Redwings and Fieldfares out on the machir outside here this morning and James counted a flock of 102 Redwing and 58 Fieldfare over in one of the fields at Grainel on the reserve at Gruinart. He was saying that the floodwater is receding now with the road along the flats open again although there is still some some water in the fields. Clark had been telling me that we have almost had as much rain so far this November as we had in total for the whole of November last year... better not look at the weather forecast for Tuesday...
