A not bad came all around today, after the rain last night, should not really complain when it comes like that! One day last week, Louise had seen 6 Corncrake chicks cross the road along the flats at Gruinart...Yesterday morning, Mary had heard a Gropper singing away close to the church at Portnahaven. This morning, she saw 2 RTD flying in a circle over Portnahaven, calling away, then they headed over to Port Wemyss and on towards Loch Indaal. Last night on her way home Mary had 2 Snipe cross the road in front of her! On the feeders at Gruinart, some Greenfinches have returned while in the field corridors the Goldfinches have increased in numbers.
