Thursday 5th April

I heard today that 70 Fulmars were counted out at Laggan Point the other day, apparently none were seen there last year, so fingers crossed.. There had been 13 Pale bellied Brent Geese down at Gortan yesterday. Here at home, on the feeders there have been a pair of Goldfinches over the last couple of days, along with other birds they are starting to show their breeding plumage, the cock Pheasant is out strutting around his ground... Over on the Oa today, Dave had an immature White tailed sea Eagle being mobbed by a "territorial" Golden Eagle which successfully drove it off. Also seen on the Oa today were 6 Chough.
