Tuesday 22nd March

More signs of Spring here today... James had his first Bumblebee of the year, in response all I could offer was my first Ladybird.
Bob yesterday on his way home from here had a flock of 40 Fieldfare along with a single Redwing along at Sunderland.
James had a single Pinkfoot on the reserve at Gruinart and also a Peregrine. One of the visitors had seen the Canada hutchinsii sp amongst the geese on the flats this afternoon. Up at Ardnave he had an Otter and also a Long tailed Duck. The other visitor had also been Gruinart and Ardnave this morning, but had a "superb 1st year Golden Eagle". At Ardnave he had around 20 Great Nothern and Black throated Divers. Later on at the dusk, Loch Indaal was flat calm, and he was able to get a count of 26 divers, Great Northern and Red throated and also 8 Slavonian Grebes.
