A great image of a Red Kite taken by Armin Grewe not here on Islay but down in Berkshire! I know Armin has been talking for a while of seeing the Red Kites often when he is out, so here is the proof. As far as I know, there have not been any recent sightings here of any Red Kites on Islay since back in January.The weather today was not much to write home about. Yes, it has been cold all day with it trying to snow all the time to no avail. We saw a male Hen Harrier along at McNichol's croft this morning when we went out for the papers. It was quite impressive against the dark sky, the camera was at home, what's new.....
