A wild weather day on Islay and not much to report as a result.
Mike rightly called it a "challenging" day for bird watching but still managed a "merlin at Kilchoman, 2 golden eagles Cnoc Don behind Loch Skerrols in the sunny period early pm. 2 little egret on flooded fields Gruinart but very few ducks on the wetland late pm"
Owen and Glynis quite rightly stayed indoors in the morning and got a blackwit at Gruinart when things settled down a bit in the afternoon.
Double D somehow kept his camera steady long enough to get this pic of a jack snipe at The Oa. BOTD to him for the effort.
Thanks to all the above.
