This morning out on the feeders, Margaret saw 3 Greenfinch, 30 Goldfinch with numerous Chaffinch and a short time after a male Reed Bunting was there as well. James reported through a sighting of a Pectoral Sandpiper seen out from the South Hide at Gruinart.
Philip and Helen Mugridge had been over last week. On Sunday 18th, they saw a White tailed Eagle close to the South hide at Gruinart. The next day, they had a Greenshank on Ardnave Loch, and top birds round Ardnave included a Snow Bunting, 2 Wheatear, 30 Sanderling, 7 Barwits and also 4 Purple Sandpiper. On Friday, over on Jura they saw a Merlin, a pair of displaying Hen Harriers and a Mistle Thrush. Back here on Islay they had 11 Pale bellied Brents on Loch Indaal.
