Thursday 29th March

Today Bob had seen 2 different pairs of Hen Harriers while out round the Rhinns, great to watch. Here at home, we have been watching some of the local Choughs who have been regularly been seen out in the garden probing around in the newly worked ground. Margaret saw a pair of Linnets out on the fence out in the garden today as well. Richard had gone over to Jura for the day. From the ferry as he crossed across the Sound of Islay, he had 2 Tysties and 2 GND as well. He saw a ringtail Hen Harrier just after he left Feolin and then a Golden Eagle was seen just as he approached Craighouse. Further on, he saw another ringtail as he came to Evan's way, the path that leads you over to Glen Batrick and Loch Tarbert. Back on Islay, at Finlaggan, he saw some Crossbills. Finally, Richard had an Iceland Gull and also 2 Glaucous Gulls on the head of Loch Indaal. Back here at home, there are 22 Greylags out on the grass in the garden as I write this entry.
