This afternoon, we saw a hen Pheasant out proudly showing off her brood of 8 chicks, the first we have seen here this year, earlier on we had the 3 Greenfinches at the feeders. The Bowland birders today had walked along the track along the side of Loch Gorm where they saw Sedge Warblers, Reed Buntings, Willow Warblers, Cuckoo and Redpolls. Out on the loch itself, Tufted Duck and RT Divers were present. Below Carnduncan, a male Hen Harrier was seen and they also had seen another male bird close to Bruichladdich, earlier on as they made their way up to Loch Gorm. The sun may have been shining, but the wind gave it a cold edge, no T shirt on today, and looked out the old jersey to wear as well...
