Friday 28th February

Last night on our way back from Port Charlotte, we were lucky enough to view the "Northern Lights", possibly not as spectacular as it was in some places. but all the same it was great to see. Out over the West the sky was red for some time while further round to the North and a bit further round the sky had a greenish hue to it... Glad I was out as I doubt if I had been in the house, well I would not have seen any of it! A few birds for you now, two sightings from earlier on this week both from visitors, Adam Cross had a first winter Kumlien's Gull down on tip at Gartbreck. Over at Bunnhahbain, Terry Williams had a Crossbill on the overhead wires. Thanks folks for sharing your sightings as ever.
