Sunday 12th August

John Cameron from Bowmore kindly sent this image through taken the other day whilst he was out walking in the woods at Bridgend, amazing what you come across sometimes, old saying, right place, right time.... Here at home this morning there were 8 Song Thrushes and also 8 Blackbirds out on the back grass! Back on Wednesday, Bob had a great day, seeing a male Sparrowhawk fly down his drive, a male Kestrel over Bolsay moor, and another over Port Charlotte. Further down on the Rhinns, Bob had an adult Golden Eagle, with another seen later on out "thermaling". Back home Bob had a couple of Ravens calling away directly over his house. Bob also commented on the number of young Buzzards around this year, possibly due to a better success rate this summer.
