Monday 11th July

Another great day folks, and we managed to clip Sandy's sheep before lunchtime and then on with routine work after lunch. Peter, the other day had a pair of Common Sandpiper over at Gartmain with their unfledged young, high up on the beach. Yesterday visitors had seen some Crossbills fly over the plantation at An Curran at Port Ellen. They also had a Barn Owl on the roadside coming back from the Oa, while at Imeraval there was a noisy Tawny Owl family! The Rose coloured Starling was still present up at Ardnave this morning. Peter also had a count of 45 Chough at Ardnave today.
