Michal sent this image through yesterday of a Lapwing trying to defend its' territory against a Hen Harrier. Forgot to say the other night that it was birthday time for the blog, as it all started on the 1st of May 2007, so many thanks to everyone who has sent us sightings through to share with you all out there!
David Mason sent some sightings from down on the RSPB Oa reserve, 1 Redshank, 4 Whimbrel, 3 Black Guillemot,2 Guillemot, 2 Razorbills, male Hen Harrier out quartering over the moor, 1 Chough, 20 male and 8 female Eider, 3 Common Sandpiper, 2 Mistle Thrush with alarm calls in the birch woods being confronted by a Hooded Crow, over 30 Oystercatcher, 1 Great northern Diver, numerous Willow Warblers and Chaffinches in the woods and willow scrub.
A Little Egret was seen down on the floods in front of the hide at Gruinart this morning.
