Thursday 4th April

Yesterday, David Wood had seen 7 Whoopers on Loch Kinnabus, with a count of 260 Whitefronts still present.
Today, David  saw an immature White tailed Eagle seen on the reserve on the Oa. Over on the other side of Islay, Mike Peacock had seen 4 Wheatears in the dunes behind Machir Bay, with the Leucistic Common Gull present there down in the Bay itself. Alistair Hart was also out braving the elements again today. He saw the Leucistic Common Gull as well as the Wheatears. Alistair also saw  a male Merlin was seen up at Kilchoman with a female present over at Gruinart. Al was saying that there is a Starling mimicking a Corncrake down in Portnahaven, calling away in fine voice this morning...
