The rainfall for February here at home came to almost 3.4inches. with the total figure for this year less than half of what it was for the same time last year...
This morning, Mike Peacock had seen a drake Green winged Teal down on the Distillery Pond at Port Charlotte. He was in touch with Bob who went down to see if he could locate it but as Bob approached, all the birds on the pond took off. But (the new word in use now!) Gary had gone down and found the drake present there late afternoon. The big question now has arisen, is this the same bird from Gruinart, or another drake present as well now???
