Saturday 28th September

Today, Bob had walked out to Gortantoid along with Peter and Pia. Along the track going there, they saw 6 Wheatear, along with Meadow Pipits and Skylarks. In the small scrubby group of trees just before reaching Gortanoid, Wrens, Robins, 1 Willow Warbler, 2 Goldcrest, 1 Mistle Thrush were seen. At Gortantoid itself, several Stonechats and Reed Buntings were present. The return leg back along the track produced Linnets, a few Twite and over 20 Pied Wagtail. On Loch Gruinart, a female Goosander was seen. Here at home, a Peregrine flew over mid afternoon.
