Heavy rain and wind overnight gave way to calmer conditions and drizzle during the day. But we seem to be getting away lightly with the weather compared to the nearby mainland with landslides and floods closing roads towards Kennacraig.
Despite the awful weather another 835 Barnacle Geese managed to get here this evening according to James How up at Gruinart. Down at Claddach, Mary Redman saw a flock of 30 Snipe in the morning then ventured to Blackpark finding a late-ish Wheatear and a Hen Harrier up at Gruinart.
