Peter this morning had walked along the track between Octofad and Ballimony. At the start while going through the fields, Meadow Pipits, Linnets and Skylarks were seen. On entering the plantation, birds changed to Song Thrush, Chaffinch, Robin, Great Tit and a few Goldfinches. A Crossbill was added to Peter's birds as it flew overhead, calling away. Here at home, at one time today there was a total of 11 Greenfinches on the nut feeders, and waiting to go on the feeders, definately a couple of family groups with the youngsters being show how to be fend for themselves. Also saw a young fledged Sand Martin later this afternoon, down towards the Coastguard cottages.
