Mary was shown this image of an Owl taken last week over on Jura, the folk that took the image were unsure of its' id thinking that it was possibly a Snowy Owl, but Mary reckons that it a leucistic Short eared Owl. I wonder if this was the same owl that someone had seen earlier and also thinking of a Snowy Owl too? Today Peter had heard several Grasshopper Warblers singing away down at Foreland. He also had seen a Spotted Flycatcher on the fence there too and there were plenty of Redpolls calling as well.
