James and David sent through some counts they had carried out earlier this week. On Thursday up at Ardnave James had 13 Whoopers and 3 Goldeneye on Ardnave Loch. Round Ardnave itself he counted the following, 3 Great Northern Diver, 85 Sanderling, 35 Ringed Plover,79 Bar tailed, 2 Purple Sandpiper and 1 Golden Eagle. Yesterday on the floods James had 64 Pintail, 4 Gadwall, 1 Water Rail and 563 Greenland Whitefronts coming in to roost. Today James had an adult Iceland Gull up at his house and also a Woodcock. David on Thursday on the Oa had a total of 5 Golden Eagles, 3 Red Grouse and an adult Glaucous Gull. Yesterday he counted 340 Greenland Whitefronts and an immature Glaucous Gull all on the reserve at the Oa.
