Sunday 22nd September

Possibly this morning,  we started with an overcast day, but come mid afternoon, the sun broke through and what a glorious evening we are having now. Raymond was probably right in turning his straw in anticipation of baling it, he even moved the combine table out to the field and possibly finished cutting his barley, who am I to ask.... Not much on the bird front today, flocks of Linnets, Twite and Goldfinches around on the seedheads. Some of the Pheasants that have not been seen for a while have started to reappear showing some young in tow, certainly not released poults as the youngsters are quite tame like their parents!
