Pete Thorp kindly sent though this image of a Fieldfare which he took last week while was over. Another visiting birder, Eve James from Cheshire wrote, " I would recommend all birders visit Islay at least once, it is an a fantastic experience and the local birders were very helpful when I met them". Eve also said that "during her stay, Choughs were regular and she had not seen so many Buzzards in a day, on more than one day, the figure was well into double figures". Today Paul G. had seen the White tailed Sea Eagle over the reserve at Gruinart. Has this bird developed a taste for the geese??? Bob saw a Golden Eagle come over the hill up behind Sunderland Farm this morning.
